‘Asia Cup 2018 Groups Venue Schedule And Tentative squads’ – United Arabia Emirates will host the 14th edition of the Asia Cup. This will be the third time, the United Arabia Emirates will host the tournament, having previously hosted it in 1984 and 1995.
The opening game of the competition will see Bangladesh and Sri Lanka fighting it out on September 15. Defending champions India, on the other hand, would start their campaign three days later against the winner of the Asia Cup qualifiers. On the very next day, they will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in a mouth watering clash.

Six teams will fight it out to gain the Asian supremacy in this competition. The teams have been divided in two groups of three each. The two teams that finish at the bottom of their respective groups will be eliminated. The other four teams will play against each other once in the Super 4 stage. The two teams that finish at the top of the table after the conclusion of the Super 4 stage will meet in the final.
Unlike the last edition, this year’s competition will be played in the ODI format. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the next year’s World Cup.
Asia Cup 2018 Groups:
There are two groups – Group A and Group B – containing three teams each. India, Pakistan and a qualifying team make Group A. On the other hand, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are in Group B.
