Meanwhile, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma went into this fixture with one forced change. Ravindra Jadeja made his comeback to the side after a gap of one year in place of injured Hardik Pandya. Rohit opted to field first after winning the toss as he mentioned that they are comfortable chasing the target.

started on a high finding the edge of Liton Das straightaway. However, it ran towards the third man as there was no second slip in the place to help him open his account. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave only four runs in the first over, Jasprit Bumrah gave only one in the second to keep things tight.

However, when Bangladesh looked to break free, India got their first wicket riding on their strike paceman.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar provides the first breakthrough

Bhuvneshwar draws first blood for India to put the men in blues ahead in the Asia Cup Super Four encounter. After bowling some tight line and length, Kumar bowled a well-directed to at the batsman. Liton Das wanted to pull, his hands were not above the trajectory of the ball and hence he was not in control of the pull shot at all.
