Asia Cup 2018: India-Pakistan Encounter is More Like Ashes - Shan Masood

Pakistan top-order Shan Masood feels that India and Pakistan match is like traditional ‘Ashes’ and he wants to be a part of the ongoing Asia Cup 2018. He revealed in a video interview with Wah Cricket. However, the arch-rivals will face off against each other in the Asia Cup on September, 19 (Wednesday) at Dubai International Stadium.
Rohit Sharma will lead the side in the absence of regular skipper, Virat Kohli. India played a good cricket with Hong Kong on September 18, 2018, after being pushed to work hard. Dhawan scored a brilliant century and the debutant, Khaleel Ahmed picked up three wickets in the match.
Meanwhile, Masood feels that India and Pakistan encounter is more like England and Austalia series called ‘Ashes.’ Masood said that he was not a part of the first match against Hong Kong.
Shan conveyed that he only saw India-Pakistan match on the big screen or in the ground, but he didn’t don the colours.
Moreover, Masood asserted he is very excited to be a part of the game. He compared Ashes with India and Pakistan match. He is extremely happy for the occasion. Meanwhile, Masood also said that he is pleased to see such games being held in UAE.
Furthermore, Masood also added that Kohli’s absence will not trouble Team India. He also said that India is one of the most competitive sides in the world.
However, he said teams should not to take any of the opposition lightly. He also speaks about the unknown Indian faces who also played lost of matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
