India’s chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav became the second fastest Indian bowler to take 50 ODI wickets. Yadav got to the personal milestone in 24 One Day Internationals. Former Indian pacer Ajit Agarkar is the fastest Indian bowler to scalp 50 ODI wickets. Agarkar had reached the landmark in just 23 ODIs. Meanwhile, Yadav also became the second quickest spinner to get to the feat.

Ajantha Mendis is the fastest to get to the half-century of wickets. The Sri Lanka mystery spinner had scaled his fifty in just 19 matches, which is the best.

Kuldeep Yadav joined the likes of Dennis Lillee, Hasan Ali who both got there in 24 matches. Meanwhile, Kuldeep’s role model Shane Warne had reached the milestone in 25 ODIs. Thus, it has been a perfect start for the chinaman.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami got to 50 ODI wickets in 28 and 29 One-Dayers respectively.

Meanwhile, India had their backs against the wall against Hong Kong in the fourth match of the Asia Cup. The Hong Kong side was able to give a run for the money to the Men in Blue. However, Rohit Sharma-led side was able to get through by the skin of their teeth as they got over the line by just 26 runs.

Nizakat Khan and Anshuman Rath put together a record opening partnership of 174 runs to give some jitters to the Indian camp. However, due to a lack of inexperience in the Hong Kong side, Anshuman Rath-led side was not able to pull off the miracle.

On the other hand, it was Kuldeep Yadav who got the first breakthrough for India. Yadav invited Rath into a cover-drive and the southpaw batsman hit it straight to Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, India’s debutant Khaleel Ahmed was able to impress as he scalped three wickets.
