In the upcoming edition of Asia Cup 2018, eleven commentators have been appointed who will give a running commentary of a coveted event game on a real-time basis from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

However, commentators like Sunil Gavaskar, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, VVS Laxman, Ramiz Raja, Aamir Sohail, Dean Jones, Kumar Sangakkara, Russel Arnold, Athar Ali Khan, Brett Lee and Kevin Pietersen have been appointed to do the honour.

Moreover, Zaheer Khan might take Laxman’s place if latter won’t be available for the much-awaited event.

However, the commentators like Gavaskar, Sivaramakrishnan, Ramiz and Jones are serving their job for a long period.

Meanwhile, the others have started their job after retiring from international cricket. The commentary is something that is necessary to be a part of every game.

However, over the past many years, the commentary is the only source to gather information regarding any topic.

On 28 March 2014, Supreme Court of India appointed Gavaskar as the interim President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President primarily to oversee the seventh season of Indian Premier League (IPL). The Court also directed him to relinquish his job as a cricket commentator.

The upcoming edition of Asia Cup 2018 will be starting from September 15, 2018. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play their first match.

The arch-rival between India will face Pakistan on September 19, 2018. India played their last ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against Pakistan. The Men in Green won the match by 180 runs.

India will be keen to win the match against Pakistan. The final will commence on September 28, 2018, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Meanwhile, the UAE will host this tournament commencing from September 15. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will lock horns in the tournament opener in Dubai.

So far, there have been 13 Asia Cup tournaments starting from 1984. India won the first Asia Cup title beating Sri Lanka and since then went on to win another five. On the other hand, Sri Lanka had won five while Pakistan had managed to win only twice.
