Asia Cup 2018: Bangladesh Include Mominul Haque in the Squad

Bangladesh middle order left-handed batsman and the slow left-arm orthodox bowler Mominul Haque has been added to the Asia Cup 2018 squad by the selectors of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

However, the Bangladesh squad has increased to 16 after the inclusion of Haque. Initially, his name was not included in the team when the squad was announced on August 30, 2018.

Moreover, Bangladesh, Nazmul Hossain Shanto is suffering from an injury. He injured his hand during the practice session. Although, his name is still in the squad.

Mominul Haque has been recalled into ODI side after three years since his last participation in 2015 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Mominul gained the attention of the selectors after smashing 182 runs in a List A match against Ireland last month.

Moreover, Mominul also scored 297 runs for Bangladesh A in four one-day matches.

However, he finally received his price this week when BCB extended their squad from 15-members to 16.
