Pakistan once again lived up to their tag of being unpredictable. They started the Asia Cup 2018 as the favourites. Now, they found themselves in the trickier position to survive in the tournament. However, the former cricketers of Pakistan are sure of their side making a comeback in the competition.

Though the energy in the dugout dropped a bit, Pakistan has got the excellent record of rising from the ashes. They are just one hurdle away to jump into the finals of the tournament and play India.

Pakistan will perform – Shahid Afridi

The former greats of the game for including Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and Javed showed their positive side in their team’s chances. They are hopeful of their players making a turnaround to lift the Asia Cup 2018.

However, the Men in Green has got the better of Bangladesh on the previous occasions and got the good records as well. Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see whether the boost from the former players will work for the team or not.

Speaking to Geo.tv, Javed said, “It is still not over for Pakistan and they can make a strong comeback. We have to make a comeback and I am sure we will.”

Meanwhile, former captain of the Pakistan cricket team Shahid Afridi said, we should support the team. “These are the players that will perform and we should support them.”

Shoaib Akhtar said quoting, “Pakistan team has the ability to make a comeback and win the Asia Cup.”

However, as former greats said, the Pakistani team has got all the chance to lift the trophy in Asia Cup 2018. They are just two steps away from the coveted cup and needed only two good games to stun the world.

The champions of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 will be locking horns against Bangladesh on Wednesday (September 26th) in Abu Dhabi. The winner will meet India on Friday in Dubai.
