Asia Cup 2018: Twitter Reacts as India Leaves Out KL Rahul Again

It seems like the India team management is pretty much clear about KL Rahul serving the team as their third opener only. Despite knocking the good tally in the match against Afghanistan, India overlooked him for the final of the Asia Cup 2018 against Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the fans were not impressed with the decision.

However, India brought back all the five players who missed the previous game against Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is also back in his captaincy shoes for the summit clash against Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma, who walked with the team list to the centre flipped the toss coin that went in India’s way. Without any further thoughts, Rohit Sharma chose to bowl first despite having a remarkable record while batting first in the Asian tournaments.

Speaking of the team’s inclusions and exclusions, Rohit Sharma quoted it is tough to leave out the players just after one game. But, he highlighted the fact everything goes as per the demand of the game.

”Going to field first. That’s what we’ve done the whole tournament. Runs on the board are important, but we’ve done well fielding first throughout the tournament, so I feel like we don’t need to change anything. The guys have delivered over course of the tournament, and there’s just one last hurdle to cross. The guys have come out and delivered and that’s the reason I am standing here today. We are ready for it,” Rohit Sharma said.

”The whole purpose was to qualify for the final and wait for this wonderful day. We’ve got to play the same kind of cricket. All five guys who missed out in the last game are back for the final. I can understand the feelings of the guys who are missing out after just one game, but we have to go with the demands of the team,” he added.
