AUS vs ENG 2018: Glenn Maxwell Called to ODI Side as Aaron Finch's Cover

Glenn Maxwell has been recalled to the Australia ODI side for the fourth game of the series against England as a cover for the opener, Aaron Finch.
The latter has been ruled out of the fourth ODI due to a hamstring injury and will not be available for the penultimate ODI. His participation in fifth ODI will also depend on his fitness.
Should Finch be not available for the last ODI as well, Maxwell will continue to be part of the team.
Finch’s non-availability is a big upset for Australia, as he was the only man in form for the Aussies with the bat. He scored centuries in the first two games of the series which also followed a half-century in the third ODI. Finch is currently the highest run-scorer in the ODI series with 275 runs under his belt followed by Jason Roy, who has scored 201 runs in three games, out of which 180 came in the first game.
A call-up for Maxwell is a big boost, as he was neither called to the Test side nor the ODI team. He came under scanner after comments from the skipper, Steven Smith. However, he got included in the T20I squad where many of the BBL performers were given a chance.
Maxwell might not get a chance in the fourth ODI but can be considered for the fifth game, if Smith decides to give a chance to the benched players.
The fourth ODI of the series will be played at Adelaide Oval tomorrow (January 26). The final ODI will be played on January 28 at new Perth stadium. Post the completion of the ODI series, New Zealand will also join the camp, and the three teams will play a tri-series, where David Warner will lead Australia. Finch has been named a deputy to him.
England is currently leading the ODI series by 3-0 and will look to move an inch closer to whitewash Australia.
