Pakistan was able to cruise to a six-wicket win against Australia in the final of the tri-series tournament. Men in Green southpaw batsman Fakhar Zaman is the man for the finals. The left-hander once again showed his class as he scored a fine 91 off just 46 balls.
The Pakistan opener was on fire in the final of the tri-series against Australia . Zaman scored a total of 278 runs in the series which makes him the second highest run-getter in the series. Furthermore, a score of 91 is the highest individual score in a T20I final.
Fakhar Zaman was on fire in the final.
Meanwhile, veteran Pakistan batsman Shoaib Malik provided the finishing touches as he scored 43 runs off 37 balls. Malik was able to take Pakistan over the line after Fakhar Zaman dismissal.
In fact, the world number one side in the shortest format had found themselves in troubled waters when they lost two early wickets. Maxwell struck twice in the very first over and Pakistan had their backs against the wall.
However, Fakhar Zaman played a fine counter-attacking knock to get his team back into the match. Zaman scored a dozen boundaries in his blistering knock and also smashed three maximums. This was Zaman’s third fifty of the series as he was in fine form right throughout the series.
Meanwhile, Australia had put a competitive target after electing to bat first. However, they failed to end their innings on a high after getting off to a good start. Short and Finch had put together an alliance of 95 runs but Aussie middle order crumbled like a house of cards.
Thus, Pakistan was able to once again prove that why they hold the numero uno position in the ICC T20I rankings.

Struggle to understand how bringing Ashton Agar on to bowl in the 12th over of a T20 is ‘rolling the dice?’
Isn’t he in the team to bowl? #AUSvPAK

Those who questioned Pakistan's number one position in T20 Rankings. Pakistan in the last two years have beaten England in England, New Zealand in NZ (when NZ were number one), World T20 Champions WI at their home and now Australia in the final. #PakvAus

First time in 28 years that Pakistan have won a FINAL against Australia in international cricket. Last time was in Sharjah in 1990 (when Wasim Akram took a hat-trick). Between Sharjah and Harare, Pakistan lost 8 "finals" to Australia. #BigWin #PakvAus
