Chris Lynn is not having the best of times in international cricket in recent times. He made his much-awaited return to international cricket during the T20I series against Pakistan. However, things have not panned out in the right-manner for the big-hitting Queenslander.

He managed to score just 14, 7 and 15 against Pakistan as Australia suffered a humiliating whitewash. A lot was expected from him when Australia hosted South Africa in a limited-overs series. However, the right-handed batsman disappointed once again. In the first ODI, he managed just 15. In the following game, he scored 44 but failed to open his account in the third ODI as Australia lost another series.

In the subsequent one-off ODI, he could score only 14 against the Proteas. His poor run continued in the three-match series against India too as he managed 37, 13 and 13.

However, he roared back to form in a club cricket match for his junior club Toombul District Cricket Club on Saturday.  The right-handed batsman blew away South Brisbane with his stunning knock. He blasted 113 off just 45 balls to set the tone for his side. The Australia star smacked three fours and a staggering 15 sixes during his entertaining knock.

Well, Chris Lynn has sent a timely reminders to the selectors with the blazing century just ahead of the upcoming ODI series against India. India and Australia are currently involved in a four-match Test series.  Following the Tests, there will be three ODIs. Sydney Cricket Ground will host the first ODI on January 12. The long tour will conclude with the third ODI at MCG on January 18. The hosts have not announced the team yet but Lynn is more than likely to be named in the squad.
