Australia has announced their playing XI for the series decider against India in the ongoing three-match series. The hosts have brought in leg-spinner Adam Zampa and lanky fast bowler Billy Stanlake for Nathan Lyon and Jason Behrendorff respectively.
Jason Behrendorff had a sore back and there was a question mark on his selection. However, Nathan Lyon hasn’t been effective thus far in the series. Subsequently, Billy Stanlake who has impressed while playing in the ongoing Big Bash League makes the cut into Australia’s playing XI for the third ODI against India.

Furthermore, Adam Zampa gets his chance in the last XI. Zampa had to make way for Lyon in the first two ODIs. However, Australia’s premier Test spinner was not able to hit the ground running in the ODI series as he did in the red ball version.
India had bounced back to level the series as they won the second game by six wickets. Australia had won the first match by 34 runs.

On the other hand, both teams will look to take the series. Australia’s inexperience hasn’t helped them and both Stanlake and Adam Zampa will like to deliver the goods in the all crucial decider. The T20I series between the two teams was tied and then India won their maiden Test series on the Australian soil by 2-1.
Here is Australia’s final XI for the final ODI:
Aaron Finch, Alex Carey, Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Jhye Richardson, Peter Siddle, Adam Zampa, Billy Stanlake
