India’s premier fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar once again provided a perfect start to his side. Kumar bowled a beauty to get rid of Australia’s vice-captain Alex Carey. Bhuvneshwar bent his back and got the extra bounce from the Melbourne pitch. Subsequently, India’s captain Virat Kohli took a good catch while diving forward at the second slip.

Meanwhile, India could have had one more wicket of Aaron Finch. In fact, Australia’s captain had two lucky escapes in the ongoing third ODI. There was a mix-up between Finch and Alex Carey but the former was lucky to get away.

Another good start for India.

However, Ravindra Jadeja who was fielding at the point position could not hit the bullseye. In fact, Jadeja had hit the stumps in the previous match when he had effected the run-out of Usman Khawaja.

Furthermore, Aaron Finch had another reprieve. Kumar could have had his second wicket had India’s captain Virat Kohli placed a second slip. However, it wasn’t to be the case as it was poor captaincy from Virat Kohli.

It was only the sixth over of the innings and it didn’t make any sense not to have two slips. Meanwhile, Kohli had placed a short mid-wicket.

Subsequently, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was finally able to plumb Aaron Finch in the front of the wickets. Thus, it is an ideal start for the Indian side in the decider of the series.

Australia won the first ODI by 34 runs whereas India bounced back to win the second by six wickets. Meanwhile, India has made three changes to their playing XI. They have brought in Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar and Yuzvendra Chahal. Vijay Shankar is making his ODI debut and became the 226th ODI player for India.
