It was indeed a brilliant knock from Cheteshwar Pujara, who brought his 18th Test century. The knock was also his third century of the series. He remained unbeaten at the end of day 1 and was looking rock solid to register a fine score to his name.

Speaking of playing at number 3, Marnus quoted that he has played at the very same slot for his club during his earlier days. Thus, Labuschagne believes that he can deliver the goods for the national team at the very same place.

“He was very classy, wasn’t he? His time, patience around the crease and just the way he batted was very good,” Labuschagne said after stumps. I think it’s something I personally can take a lot from.
