Though MS Dhoni doesn’t show any emotions on the field, he has got his own beliefs. Recently, we came across him visiting Durga Temple ahead of Ireland and England tour. Now, he visited Deori Temple just ahead of the ODI series against Australia and New Zealand. Meanwhile, the devotees in the temple were surprised with the sudden visit of MS Dhoni.

Perhaps, this would be the last tour of MS Dhoni to Australia in the Indian Jersey, if the reports of him retiring after ICC World Cup 2019 are to be believed. This is also the time for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to get back his nick for Indian National Cricket Team.

The wicketkeeper-batsman of India is carrying a pretty poor form in the limited overs format. He failed to showcase his skills in the recent past, which also saw a section of analysts calling him to drop from the team.

He was also given rest in the shorter version of the game against Windies side. However, they called him back to give him enough match practice ahead of the prestigious event ICC World Cup 2019.

MS Dhoni had a poor outing when India toured England. The former Indian skipper was even booed by the crowd for not scoring runs at a high rate. However, BCCI selectors persisted with him, as they knew that the canny player brings a lot to the unit.

Time to strike form:

This is the final chance for MS Dhoni to get back to the nick at any cost. With only a few ODI games left in the bank, MS Dhoni should get back to his mojo in order to walk into the ICC World Cup 2019 with a good frame of mind.

Coming to the series, India will play three ODI games against Australia before travelling to New Zealand for 5 ODI games. It will be followed by 3 T20I games and then the home series against Australia.
