Booing has always been a common word when cricket is played in Australia. The Australian crowd always likes to pull the leg of the visitor team???s players to enjoy their time in the stadiums. Meanwhile, yet again, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been the scapegoat of the Sydneysiders crowd, who booed the captain. Meanwhile, Ricky Ponting isn???t impressed with it.

Virat Kohli, who has managed to score only 23 runs on the first day of the Sydney Test was booed by a section of the crowd. Meanwhile, Ricky Ponting, who was in the commentary panel disapproved the ill-act committed by the Sydney people.

???If it was booing then it???s absolutely disgraceful,??? Ponting said on Channel 7. ???I said that in the Perth Test as well. Show some respect.???

On a Sports Radio channel, broadcaster Tim Lane said: ???We should be better than that as a nation. I didn???t like it. All Kohli has been guilty of is leading his country in Australia and winning. If the people don???t like it, they should at least recognise it and applaud it.???

That was not the first time for Virat Kohli. He was booed by the home side crowd whenever he travels abroad because of his passionate behaviour on the field. Even in his initial career, he was booed by the Australian crowd.

India is on the driver seat at Sydney:

After winning the toss, Mayank Agarwal knocked a brilliant 77 to his name before being dismissed to Nathan Lyon. However, on the other end, Cheteshwar Pujara showed his class to knock the third century of the series. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli failed to showcase his class.

Cheteshwar Pujara was brilliant on Day 1, who remained unbeaten with 130* runs to his name. His stunning knock helped India to put 303/4 on the board at the end of Day 1 stumps. Hanuma Vihari (39*) is at the crease with Pujara.
