Well, there are numerous positive points for Indian National Cricket Team to take out from the fantastic series victory in Australia. They found stable opening batsman in Mayank Agarwal and a floater in Hanuma Vihari. And then, the series saw the emergence of Indian fast bowling unit and also saw the maturity of Rishabh Pant. Ponting out few more, VVS Laxman wrote on India’s performance to Times of India.
Mayank Agarwal walked into the side in the middle of the series and straightaway showed his class for the team. He knocked it quite superbly to make things fall in place for his team. Though he failed to get centuries, his decent 70-odd tallies have been quite exceptional under such hard circumstances.
Then it was Rishabh Pant, who had a dream series. He showed great maturity, as a cricketer and put on a show in the final Test of the series. Meanwhile, it wouldn’t have been possible without the scintillating performances from the bowling unit.

No praise is too big for Jasprit Bumrah and Co:
Terming on the same, VVS Laxman hailed each individual for their stunning performances. Beside lauding Virat Kohli and Rahane, he picked Mayank Agarwal and Hanuma Vihari, as the standout players in the series.
He believes it is always tough for a player to get straight into the game and deliver. Laxman pointed out that Vihari hasn’t got the numbers to show but he put his thumbs up whenever it was required for the team. Further, he hailed Rishabh Pant and bowlers.
“Virat and Ajinkya Rahane both made contributions at vital moments, but what stood out for me was how a trio of young batsmen put their hand up. It wouldn’t have been easy for Mayank Agarwal to walk straightaway into a Boxing Day Test and showcase his skills. He was fearless and happy to play his natural game. Hanuma Vihari might not have had the runs to show for his efforts, but he was excellent in doing everything that was asked of him,” Laxman opined.

”Rishabh Pant showed that he is a quick learner by making a sea-change to his attitude from the first Test to the last. These are nothing if not positive signs. Also, no praise can be too high for Jasprit Bumrah and the fast bowling group,” Laxman concluded.
Well, as VVS Laxman said, every individual played with an intent to make things happen for India. The series victory will go down into the books, as one of the finest achievements by the Indian cricket team in overseas.
