Mayank Agarwal would have been disappointed after going for a big shot against Nathan Lyon. The Indian opener was looking good for his knock of 77 runs and had batted at the top of his game. However, Agarwal felt for the bait and tried to clear the boundary ropes. In fact, Mayank Agarwal had hit a six on the fourth ball of the Lyon’s over.

The right-hander once again tried to go for the maximum on the final ball of the over but could not get to the pitch of the ball. Consequently, Mitchell Starc took a simple catch at the long on boundary. Agarwal had once again taken the attack against Nathan Lyon and he was looking confident in his shot-making.

However, there was no need to go for the big shot as Agarwal could have completed his maiden Test hundred. He also had the same chance when he scored 76 in the first innings of his International career.

Meanwhile, it was beautifully bowled by Nathan Lyon. The veteran off-spinner was guile to push back the length and invited another big shot from the rookie batsman. The Karnataka batter went for the bait and perished in the process to keep up the scoring rate.

The right-hander scored seven fours and smashed two sixes. He was looking good and once again played some delightful shot in his knock. However, Agarwal will need to wait for his maiden Test hundred.

On the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara is going strong as the right-hander is batting on 39 runs. Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first. Kohli is batting on unbeaten eight runs.
