Well, of late, Virat Kohli has been the regular headliner for obvious reasons. He was on the wrong side of things after involving in banter with Tim Paine during the Perth Test. Across the globe, the analysts felt it was a poor behaviour from Virat Kohli. Meanwhile, the former Australian great Allan Border backs the Indian skipper.
The likes of Mike Hussey, Mitchell Johnson and Sanjay Manjrekar aren’t pleased with Virat Kohli’s attitude on the field. Johnson, in particular, expressed his displeasure by stating that it was a poor spirit from Virat Kohli when he failed to give an eye-contact to Tim Paine, after the match.
I haven’t seen anyone like Virat Kohli – Allan Border
Allan Border feels that Virat Kohli’s aggression might stem from the desire to cement his legacy with an away series victory after defeats in South Africa and England this year. However, he believes it is good for the game.

Further, he also quoted that characters like Virat Kohli are very much required for the beautiful game of cricket. Allan Border believes that it is something which pushes the individuals to perform better for their country.
“I haven’t seen anyone sort of carrying on so much as a captain when his side takes a wicket,” he said in a Fox Sports podcast Thursday. “It’s really over the top but it’s good in a way. You can see some passion about what he’s trying to do. There are not many characters in our game at the moment,” Border added.

“The professional era has sort of beat that out to a certain degree. It’s good to see guys with that passion, drive and a bit of character. To drive the team to be number one, which he’s achieved, but to win away from home is one of those important things you notice as a captain,” he said. “I think he’s feeling that pinch,” he inferred.
Well, as Allan Border said, the passion that Virat Kohli brings to the sport is top-class. However, as the cricket is so-called a gentleman game, the professional cricketers must be in their limits to give out a good message for the youngsters.
