Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya removed Aussies right-hander, Glenn Maxwell as they lost their fifth wicket, and Pandya bagged his first in the series. It was a fine delivery from Pandya who had taken a beating in the first T20I at the Gabba. The ball gripped in the surface to bamboozle Maxwell. Pandya was able to hit the top of the off-stump as Maxwell was left stunned.

However, the Indian team remained unchanged for the second T20I. One forced change for Australia was Billy Stanlake and he is replaced by Nathan Coulter-Nile. Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and put Aussies to bat first. Moreover, it was a brave call by Virat Kohli without making a single change in the team.

Moreover, Australia couldn’t start their innings on a good note as they lost their three wickets within a short span of six overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the account by taking the wicket of skipper Aaron Finch who made a golden duck in the game.

Later, Khaleel Ahmed joined Kumar as he rattled the top order bagging two wickets to his name. Meanwhile, when Glenn Maxwell and Ben McDermott was trying to build up some steady partnership, Kunal Pandya did the job for India as he picked up the wicket of Maxwell who was batting at 19.

Krunal Pandya’s ball drifted beautifully and turned from the straight line. He dragged his length a tad short, made Maxwell prod forward on the defensive push, the ball gripped and then rolled past the outside edge, went with the angle and clattered into the off-stump. It was a much-needed wicket for Krunal as well as for India.

Aaron Finch’s men are in big trouble after they lost their seven wickets scoring just 132 runs at the end of 19th over. The Aussies bowlers need to be extremely cautious, and the Indian batsmen would have to play carefully and win the game at any cost to stay in the competition.
