England’s batswoman Danielle Wyatt is excited to see Rohit Sharma in the Test team. Rohit looked good in his knock of 37 runs. In fact, Rohit Sharma had done the hard work as he had faced 61 balls. However, the combative right-hander went for a big heave as he was nicely set-up by Nathan Lyon.

Rohit Sharma was able to get a six when Marcus Harris failed to take a difficult chance at the boundary ropes. The combative right-hander was lucky but didn’t learn from his mistake. He went for another big shot and perished in the process. In fact, Rohit was beautifully set up by Nathan Lyon. The off-spinner tossed the ball in the air to invite another big shot from Rohit.

Rohit Sharma should have been smarter in his shot selection.

Rohit went for the bait and this time Marcus Harris was able to get under the catch. Thus, it was a disappointing shot from the experienced batsman as there was no need to play that shot as India had already lost four wickets.

Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara was able to rescue India out of the troubled waters. Pujara added a vital alliance of 62 runs with Ravichandran Ashwin to help take India to 250-9 at stumps on the opening day of the four-match Test series. However, Ashwin was squared up by a beautiful ball from Pat Cummins.

Pujara scored his 16th Test century as he was the lone warrior for the Indian team. The right-hander played a gutsy knock as he didn’t give up when he kept losing partners at the other end. Thus, it was a fine knock of 123 runs from India’s number three batsman.
