Australia’s premier pacer Mitchell Starc finally got the better of Indian National Cricket Team’s wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant, after a quickfire knock from the young southpaw. However, earlier in the day, the speedster also dismissed Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Pant hammered Starc for a boundary in the fourth delivery of the 169th over straight past the bowler. However, Pant found Usman Khawaja in the next delivery in the gully region in an attempt to the clear the boundary.

Pant made a blunder

Meanwhile, Pant was in a mood to hit the ball hard as the management decided to declare the innings scoring some quick runs. However, sudden good length delivery from Mitchell Starc hits the edge of the bat and Khawaja did the rest for his side.

Rishabh Pant played some fine cricketing shots alongside Rohit Sharma adding 76 runs at the end of the innings. He scored 39 runs from 76 deliveries with the help of three boundaries. However, the 21-year-old was playing his natural game as Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara did almost everything to release some pressure from the middle order.

It was almost fast and furious delivery from Mitchell Strac with a speed of 148kph. Pant looked to pull uppish but it was obviously late with the ball skidding on quick, cramping him up and taking the outside edge to gully. Khawaja, who lost the ball in the air initially, held his composure to grab it in the end.

Subsequently, it is now up to Indian bowlers to strengthen India’s dominance in the ongoing Boxing Day Test. Virat Kohli’s men had scored 443 runs with the loss of seven wickets before declaring the innings before the end of day two.
