There is always something in between Virat Kohli and Australians. Simply, they never gel well together, which opens up gates for a new controversy. The latest one comes against Tim Paine, with whom, Virat Kohli continued to be involved in a banter. Meanwhile, Mitchell Johnson feels it is silly from the Indian skipper.

In the recent video, Virat Kohli was seen shaking hands with Tim Paine but never tried to give an eye-contact for the Australian skipper. Mitchell Johnson feels that it is disrespectful as far as the professional game is concerned.

Virat Kohli contradicted things – Mitchell Johnson

Mitchell Johnson feels that Virat Kohli has left himself look silly after his behaviour on the field. He added that Virat Kohli has contradicted things to initiate a banter on the field. However, Johnson is happy, as the crowd liked it.

Further, he went on to recollect Virat Kohli’s press conference ahead of the series, who quoted that he won’t initiate anything on the field. During the course, he showered words of praise on Indian bowling attack as well.

“At the end of the match, you should be able to look each other in the eyes, shake hands and say ‘great contest. Virat Kohli could not do that with Tim Paine. To me, that is disrespectful. Kohli gets away with more than most cricketers simply because he is Virat Kohli and he gets placed on a pedestal but this Test left the Indian captain looking silly.”

” I really enjoyed seeing the Indian four-pronged attack. It got the crowd going and it is great for the game,” he wrote. “However, Kohli has contradicted the things he said at the start of the series. He said he was a changed person – that he was coming in with a different attitude to last time and wasn’t going to initiate anything. What we saw this Test says otherwise.”

Well, it was quite a comment by Mitchell Johnson on Indian skipper. It would be interesting to see whether rulebooks will interfere in the banter between Virat Kohli and Tim Paine.
