Australia vs India 2018: Twitter Trolls Rohit Sharma as Ravichandran Ashwin Avoids Shaking Hands With Him

On day four of the first Test at the Adelaide Oval against Australia, an unpleasantry incident occurred when off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin avoided shaking hands with teammate Rohit Sharma after dismissing Aaron Finch.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane scored fifties to extend India’s advantage. However, it came down sharply with the second session collapse. The quick wrap-up of the innings left Australia with a glimmer of hope, despite the daunting target of 323 runs ahead of them.

In reply, Ashwin picked up the wicket on the last delivery before tea on day four to dismiss Aussie opener, Aaron Finch. Ashwin was successful in putting the ball to turn from rough, which ruffled off Finch’s pad and got grabbed safely by Rishabh Pant. Following the wicket, Rohit Sharma came running to Ashwin to congratulate him on the wicket. He eventually ended up patting Ashwin’s back, as the spinner seemed to avoid the handshake.

Shaun Marsh has looked solid out there but needs a partner to combat this strong Indian bowling line-up. Harris and both Handscomb promised a lot but fell to loose shots while Khawaja’s has to be the most atrocious shot of those dismissals.

India’s bowlers have been relentless, hardly giving anything away and that target looks a country mile away at this stage. Not an unplayable pitch but run-scoring has been difficult and there is a turn on offer.

However, this left the fans on social media in amuse and they trolled Rohit Sharma after the end of day’s play.
