Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has slammed the Indian National Cricket team captain Virat Kohli after his war of words with Australian slipper Tim Paine in the ongoing Perth Test.
Meanwhile, the skippers from both the side found themselves going against each and once Kohli squared on the host skipper while he was completing a run. Chris Gaffaney, the on-field umpire had to step in between the duo to remind them that they are the captains and it is unlikely to behave like that.
“Ok, that’s enough, that’s enough. Play the game. You guys are the captains,” Gaffaney said.
Following the incident, Naseeruddin Shah labeled Virat Kohli as the worst behaved player despite calling him as the best batsman.
“Virat K is not only the world’s best batsman but also the world’s worst-behaved player. His cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners.. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way,” Shah wrote in a Facebook post.

Meanwhile, along with Naseeruddin Shah, former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar also slammed Virat Kohli for his on-field antics.
“Virat Kohli is such a champion player that we kind of accept everything he does on the pitch. Had Virat Kohli not been the champion player he is, some of his antics on the field would have created quite a stir,” Manjrekar said at the lunch break.
“You have to behave responsibly at times though. There are others ways to score runs. What I mean is brand Virat Kohli helps him get away with his on-field behaviour,” he added.
Meanwhile, India still needs 175 runs to win with Hanuma Vihari and Ajinkya Rahane at the crease and five wickets in hand.
