Australia hard-hitting all-rounder Glenn Maxwell said Virat Kohli is an incredible captain and an amazing player. Kohli has continued his penchant of breaking and creating new annals in the game. Virat Kohli is leading India with aplomb and his consistency as a batsman is second to none. Kohli has made run-scoring like a stroll in the park.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli had a fine tour of Australia in 2014. The Indian skipper had scored 692 runs and was the second leading run-scorer in 2014 Down Under tour. Thus, Virat Kohli will like to repeat his performance on the forthcoming tour of Australia. In fact, Kohli is in sublime form as he scored 593 runs on the England tour and scored 453 runs in the ODI series against the Windies.

Kohli is setting new standards in the game.

“Virat Kohli is an amazing player, an incredible captain, and leader. He has got an insatiable appetite for being the best at everything, be it scoring runs, best fielder, best fitness-wise etc. He has an incredible desire to dominate. His technique is almost flawless. He just hits the middle of the bat so much more often than everyone else. He looks like he has more time than everyone else. He just makes good decisions,” Glenn Maxwell said while talking to Cricket.com.au.

Glenn Maxwell went on to add Virat Kohli always lives in the present moment. The Aussie all-rounder said Indian skipper wants to win every contest, which impresses him the most. Thus, Kohli never likes to get complacent as his hunger for competition and runs is insatiable.

Kohli likes to go all out.

“He is worried about winning every contest in the moment, not about what is coming up and that is why you see he is so passionate. He never seems to drop off. Every wicket he is celebrating hard, every wicket is like the last one every taken,” he smiled.

Unbelievable ODI record.

Virat Kohli has already scored 38 ODI hundreds in just 208 innings. He also became the fastest to 10,000 runs as he got there in 205 innings. Furthermore, his records while chasing a target is tremendous.

“Look at his ODI record, to score as many hundreds as he does, chasing, consistently winning games for his team. If he is playing well, he feels that he can win the game by himself. That is a pretty scary aspect when one player has that,” he said.

Kohli likes to give his best shot.

Virat Kohli always likes to give his 120% on the field and expects the same from his teammates. Maxwell said Kohli has injected the winning habit in the Indian team.

“I think if you look at the way he has led the Indian team, he has bred them to be winners, he has bred them to be expecting to win. This is sometimes not always easy to do with a team that probably hasn’t had a lot of Test success away from home. But you what they play overseas now and they expect to win. His leadership has bred that confidence throughout the squad. They all walk out a couple of inches tall because of the way he has been playing. That is a very powerful thing to have as a captain. And that is something we have to be wary of when he comes over,” he signed off.

Virat Kohli has done a fine job for the Indian team and he would like his team to savor success for the first time on Australian soil. India will begin their Australia tour with the first T20I on November 21.
