India’s number three batsman Cheteshwar Pujara was unfortunate to miss out on the double century. Pujara was dismissed on 193 after playing a fine knock to put India into the driver’s seat. The right-hander shimmied down the track to Nathan Lyon. However, Pujara could not keep the ball down and gave a simple return catch to Nathan Lyon, who scalped his third wicket.
Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara had made use of feet to advance down the track while playing against Nathan Lyon throughout the series. Pujara had also danced down the track to keep Lyon at bay from attacking the stumps.
However, the ploy to get to the pitch of the ball didn’t work out and Pujara had to return back to the hut. Meanwhile, Pujara would have been disappointed as he was looking good for his double hundred.
In fact, it was a fine knock from the Indian talisman batsman. Pujara once again batted with gumption and scored his runs with great determination. The right-hander once again stuck to his guns and backed his ability to come good. Pujara scored 22 fours in his innings and would be happy after his show.
Pujara is currently the leading run-getter of the ongoing series. The Saurashtra batsman has thus far collected 521 runs in the series and has batted at the top of his game. Pujara has scored three hundred in the four-match series and he has been the difference between the two sides in the batting department.
Meanwhile, India is in a dominating position as they have crossed 450 run-mark. Rishabh Pant has scored his third fifty in the red ball version and the batsmen have put India in the driver’s seat.
