India’s premier fast bowler Mohammed Shami bowled a Jaffa to get rid of Australian captain, Tim Paine. Shami bowled an accurate bouncer to Paine and the right-hander could not get away from the line of the ball. Thus, Shami was able to strike right after the Lunch break. Subsequently, Shami attacked Aaron Finch’s stumps as the injured batsman was dismissed on the first ball.
Shami also bowled a ripper to get the better of the well-settled Usman Khawaja. The southpaw batsman had scored a valiant fifty to strengthen Australia’s lead. Shami also got his sixth wicket via a short-pitched ball. Nathan Lyon could not control his cut and ended up hitting the ball in the air. Hence, Lyon was dismissed for the first time in the series.

Consequently, Mohammed Shami bagged 6-56 which is his best bowling figures in the red ball version. In fact, this is the third best bowling figures for an Indian bowler in the Australian conditions. Meanwhile, Shami had bagged two wickets on Day three of the ongoing second Test match.
Meanwhile, Shami bowled without much luck in the first innings as the pacer went past the outside edge on numerous occasions.

Australia has set a competitive target of 287 runs after making 243 runs in the first innings. However, India has got off to a bad start as they have lost their opener, KL Rahul. The right-hander was trying to leave the ball, however, he chopped the ball back on to his stumps.
Josh Hazlewood was able to get the better off Cheteshwar Pujara when the ball kissed the right-hander’s glove.
