India’s premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin continued to breathe down the neck of the Australian batsmen as he took his third wicket of the innings. Ashwin was persistent at bowling the right length as he concentrated on taking out the best arrows of his quiver. In fact, it is noted that Ashwin can try a lot of variations which can lead to his failure in the overseas conditions. Ashwin bowled a fine off-spinner to get the better off, Usman Khawaja.

India’s off-spinner flighted the ball beautifully to take a little bit of Usman Khawaja’s glove. However, umpire Kumar Dharamasena didn’t hear the nick and decided to give the decision in the favour of the batsman.

Subsequently, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli decided to go for the review. The hot spot showed a faint tickle of the glove and India got its fourth wicket of the day as Rishabh Pant took a good catch. It was a big wicket for India as Usman Khawaja was looking settled in the crease. The southpaw scored 28 runs after facing 125 balls.

Thus, Ravichandran Ashwin has been the pick of the Indian bowlers as he taken three wickets. Ishant Sharma was able to provide India’s first wicket as he castled Aaron Finch’s stump.

Hence, it was a perfect start from the lanky fast bowler. India is in the driving seat as they have taken four wickets for 88 runs.

Subsequently, India will like to keep strengthening their grip on the match. Ravichandran Ashwin was also able to get the better of debutant Marcus Harris and then he got the wicket of Shaun Marsh.

Here is the big wicket of Usman Khawaja:
