India’s off-spinner Ravindra Jadeja got rid of Australia’s southpaw batsman Usman Khawaja. Jadeja drew Khawaja into a forward defensive shot. However, Khawaja could only manage an inside edge which was sharply taken by Mayank Agarwal at short leg. Jadeja got the ball in the good length area and in fact, there was a puff of dust when the ball landed in the pitch.
Thus, Ravindra Jadeja is going to play a huge role in this ongoing third Test match at MCG. Meanwhile, the first session was dominated by the visitors. The tourists were able to scalp four wickets in the opening session of Day three as they have put Australia behind the eighth-ball.

Australia is staring down the barrel of the gun.
Ishant Sharma provided the first breakthrough of the morning as the lanky fast bowler scalped the wicket of Aaron Finch. Sharma changed field as there was no seam moment and got Agarwal at short mid-wicket. Finch flicked the ball to short mid-wicket Mayank Agarwal who took a splendid catch while diving to his left.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets in the opening session. Bumrah bounced off Marcus Harris who went for the pull shot and Ishant Sharma took a simple catch at fine-leg. India’s ever-rising bowler added a perfect cherry to the cake when he bamboozled Shaun Marsh with a fine slower yorker on the last ball of the morning session.

Hence, it was a perfect start for the tourists after they posted 443 runs in the first innings. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal were the half-centurions whereas Cheteshwar Pujara scored his second ton of the series.
