One question that will be hanging in the top drawer of the Australian team’s rendezvous would be, “How do we get the better off Virat Kohli”? The Indian skipper had scored 692 runs on the previous tour as he had made a strong liking for the Australian bowlers. However, Australia’s middle-order batsman Travis Head believes that they have the bowlers to keep Virat Kohli at bay.

Australia’s pace battery of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins is one of the best in the world. Thus, Head feels the hosts have the bowlers to do the job against the best batsman in the world.

Virat Kohli is going to hold the key for India.

In fact, there is no doubt that Virat Kohli’s form is going to be directly proportional to the success of the Indian team. Virat Kohli fought a lone battle on the England tour as no other batsman could come up with consistent performances.

“Hopefully the boys get him under control. I think from facing the three big quicks, I know how much hard work it is. If they can put him under enough pressure, anybody in the world is a human. We know he’s a good player, I’ve seen it first-hand at Bengaluru, he’s an extremely good player, but I think we’ve got the bowlers to do the job. They’re one of the best bowling units in the world. It’s going to be an exciting battle, hopefully, we’ll come out on top,” Head said.

Furthermore, Travis Head is hopeful that the Aussie bowlers will hit the pedal to the metal with their bowling. The pace troika can be at their best if they bowl aggressively.

“I think the bowlers when they compete, and they’re fierce and aggressive, I think they have that [a bit of mongrel about them]. I hope they bring that, I know they do it consistently, they bowl aggressively.

“Words are sometimes cheap, it’s how they bowl and their actions and if that mongrel means Starc bowling 150, Cummo hitting a really hard length, same as Hoff, it’s bowling aggressive, being aggressive, just the way we play, the way we bat, being aggressive in defence, aggressive on the bad ball, aggressive in the field, attacking the ball hard. It’s in our actions; not just how it looks on TV sometimes,” Travis Head added.
