Australian Bowler Megan Schutt Plans to Marry Her Partner After Country Voted 'Yes' For Gay Marriage

Australia on Wednesday voted for the same-sex marriage in a legislating a change in the law. 61.6% of the people voted for marriage equality by Christmas in a national postal survey. After the result announced by the Australian Bureau of Statistic, Australian Prime Mister Malcolm Turnbull promised the Australian citizen that the marriage equality would be implemented before the Christmas.
Australian women’s cricketer Megan Schutt celebrated the ‘Yes’ vote with a tweet and wrote that she is now planning to marry her partner Jess Holyoake. She wrote, “It’s a #YES now to plan a wedding Can’t wait to marry the love of my life #ssm #lovewins #marriageequality”

The Adelaide born, Schutt made her debut in 2012 against New Zealand in an ODI. Schutt has played 40 ODI’s for the Australian team and has picked 59 wickets. She has also played two Tests and picked seven wickets.
