Shoaib Akhtar has taken a cheeky dig at Pakistan for their poor performance in the ongoing Test against England. If rain frustrated Pakistan team and their fans during the second Test, then it is safe to say that they must be hoping for rain in the ongoing Test.

The Azhar Ali-led side is staring down the barrel as the hosts have taken full command of the proceedings in the final Test of the series. Zak Crawley’s stunning 267 and 152 from Jos Buttler has put England in the driver’s seat. The duo shared a mammoth stand of 359 runs for the fifth wicket to help their side pile up 583 for 8 declared, their highest total in four years.

And as if the run-fest was not enough, England piled up further misery on the tourists with the bat. England gave Pakistan one hour time to bat on day two and it was enough for the latter to lose three wickets. Veteran James Anderson bowled beautifully to remove Shan Masood, Abid Ali and Babar Azam. At the end of the day, Pakistan were reeling at 24 for 3.

Shoaib Akhtar’s dig at Pakistan:

As Pakistan were struggling on the field, their former pacer Shoaib Akhtar could not resist taking a sly dig at them. The tearaway pacer took to Twitter to taunt his country, tweeting:

“Baarish ka koi scene nahi hai? ??☔”

And when one of his followers wrote that there are chances of rain on Monday and Tuesday (4th and 5th day of the game), Shoaib Akhtar hilariously pointed out that Monday is very far.

Pakistan are now in danger of losing their first Test series against England since 2010. Their last two series in England had ended in draws but they are now looking set for a series-defeat. Even if Pakistan can rouse themselves to save this match, England – already leading 1-0 – are set to win the series.
