Bangladesh Fans are Expecting us to Win 2019 World Cup - Shakib Al Hasan

Over the years, Bangladesh has always been considered as the minnow team in international cricket. However, they lifted their game enormously to threaten the big teams on their day. In the last ICC event, they reached knockouts and then amazed everyone by reaching finals in the Asia Cup 2018. Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan feels Bangladesh can win the 2019 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh had fought exceptionally in the Asia Cup 2018 even without the presence of Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal in the side. They almost bagged the coveted trophy but lost the nerves in the finale against India.
It is possible for Bangladesh to win the 2019 World Cup – Shakib
Shakib Al Hasan, who is struggling for a long time with his finger set to participate in the upcoming UAE T20X. Also, he was also given the No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the respective board as well.

Speaking to the Dhaka-based Cricfrenzy, Shakib Al Hasan quoted saying he wants to have as many games as possible ahead of the grand event, 2019 World Cup.
Further, he went on to add saying the fans are expecting them to bag the coveted trophy this time. Shakib further added the players, support staff and the respective board are in a positive frame of mind as well.

“The people of Bangladesh are expecting Bangladesh to be the champions this time. Never before did they say that we can win the World Cup. They are saying it this time because they have the belief. And we [the players] also believe it. I think everyone in BCB also believes that we can do something like this,” Shakib Al Hasan quoted.
However, of late, Bangladesh is displaying top-class cricket on the major events. It would be interesting to see how the things would pan out for them in the 2019 World Cup. Who knows they might do this time?
