It seems like stars are aligned right for Bangladesh, as they are hearing good news on a regular basis. Recently, Shakib Al Hasan made his way back into the side and now, it is the turn of Tamim Iqbal, who is likely to make an ODI return against the Windies side. For now, he has been named in the practice game.
Tamim has not played since injuring his wrist during the Asia Cup 2018. He was expected to return to the side during the ongoing two-Test match series against West Indies but a rib injury in a recent training session delayed his comeback.
Tamim Iqbal has been cleared by the physio – Chief Selector
The chief selector of Bangladesh revealed the physio has given green signal to Tamim Iqbal to feature in the upcoming fixture for his country. However, during the course, they asked him to play a practice game.

Meanwhile, Tamim Iqbal is also sure that he would be back in the ODI series. In the meantime, he wants to get some match preparation by playing for BCB XI in a practice match.

“He has been cleared by the physio to play the ODIs. We are expecting him to play from the start of the series,” said chief selector Minhajul Abedin. We included Mashrafe and Tamim in the practice match squad as we felt they need some match practice before the series,” Minhajul said.

“If everything goes well I should be available from the beginning of the ODIs against West Indies,” Tamim told reporters at the academy premises on Saturday. “But before that, I am looking forward to playing the practice game at BKSP.”
Well, it is a good news for Bangladesh fans, as the return of Tamim Iqbal will strengthen the squad. Hopefully, his return to the game goes as smooth as possible.
