Bangladesh southpaw opener Tamim Iqbal sometimes feels Virat Kohli is inhuman. Kohli is the most consistent batsman in the world and scores runs every time he goes out to the middle. Thus, it sometimes looks like that he has come from a different planet. Kohli had scored a blistering knock of 140 runs off just 107 balls in the first ODI against Windies.

The Indian skipper was able to hit the ground running from the outset and looked at ease. This was Kohli’s 36th ODI hundred as he continued his domination over the bowlers. Kohli was able to score his runs with great ease and he found the gaps to perfection. Furthermore, it seems like he is batting on a different pitch altogether.

Tamim Iqbal said Kohli looks like getting a hundred in every match. The southpaw opener believes he hasn’t seen a player like Virat Kohli who has dominated in the same fashion.

“I sometimes feel he is not human because the way he performs, my goodness, the moment he comes out to bat, it looks like he is going to score a hundred every game,” the Bangladesh opener said while talking to Khaleej Times.

“And I have seen all the great players that have played the game in the past 12 years. They have their own strong points. But I haven’t seen anyone that has dominated as much as Virat has.”

On the other hand, Tamim Iqbal had shown great audacity when he came out to with a broken wrist. The left-hander played with only one hand to help Mushfiqur Rahim reach his hundred.

“Playing for my country is my biggest pride. I thought facing one delivery could have helped Bangladesh get 5-10 extra runs in that game. And we ended up getting 32 runs because of Mushfiqur’s brilliance,” Tamim said.

Consequently, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza had praised Tamim Iqbal for his valiant show. Mortaza had said it was the best moment for him in the Asia Cup when Tamim went on to bat with a broken wrist.

“It’s very nice of him to say that. Yes, I knew I was out of the tournament when I got hit in the first game and I got very emotional. So when Mushfiqur and the team needed me, I walked out again!”

Meanwhile, Bangladesh has done well in the last couple of years. They have shown an upward swing in their improvement graph.

“We have been playing some serious cricket in ODIs. We have been one of the best teams in the world. It was a big blow for sure when Shakib (Al Hasan) and myself got injured in the Asia Cup, but I think the way the boys responded in the tournament was really good,” he said.

Tamim Iqbal is Bangladesh’s consistent performer. He is currently recuperating from an injury and will not play against Zimbabwe. On the other hand, Virat Kohli is continuing his love affair with record books.
