Social media has brought the cricketers close to the fans more than ever. The cricketers make sure to keep the fans updated about their lives off the field and also interact with them. The fans also reciprocate in the same manner. But sometimes, some fans use the social media for abusing the players and England England star Ben Stokes recently experienced it.

The allrounder has called out a social media user after receiving absolutely horrific and abusive comments on Instagram. The abuse, in fact, was so unbelievable that Ben Stokes could not help but take a screenshot of the vile abuse and shared it to his 735,000 followers on Twitter.

“Let’s expose people like those,” Ben Stokes wrote over the screenshot.

The abuser told Stokes that he hopes his “first born gets cancer you f***ing criminal” before telling him to “kill yourself”.

The person was not done yet and took to Twitter too to abuse the World Cup-winner.

“Ohhh same bloke on twitter from Instagram piping up again,” Ben Stokes tweeted before the abuse was deleted.

Ben Stokes has two children with his wife Clare Ratcliffe, Layton and Libby. Just like the rest of the cricketers across the world, he is also currently at home due to the coronavirus pandemic. He had a stunning 2019 where he helped England win their first-ever World Cup and drew the Ashes.

Those stunning performances saw him win the ICC Player of the Year award. Earlier this year, Ben Stokes played an integral role in England’s impressive 3-1 win over South Africa in the Test series.
