England all-rounder Ben Stokes will miss the T20 Blast quarter-final with a slight niggle on his left knee, he suffered during the third Test against India at Trent Bridge.

Meanwhile, Stokes represents Durham Jets in the T20 Blast tournament. This will be a massive blow for the side as the England all-rounder has been in good form recently. He replaced Sam Curran in Trent Bridge and immediately made a mark despite suffering a humiliating defeat.

India did a 360-degree turnaround to display a brilliant brand of cricket. Especially the batsmen put in a much-improved effort to put runs into the scoreboard. Skipper Virat Kohli once again led from the front backing his first innings score of 97 with an excellent century in the second essay.

Another notable mention was Hardik Pandya, who backed his outstanding spell with a half-century with the bat. However, it was Jasprit Bumrah, who returned from injury with a five-wicket haul. He was magical in the last session of day four as he brought almost on the verge of winning.

Ravichandran Ashwin finished off the proceeding on the morning session of day five with Kohli bagging the player of the match award.
