Punjab batsman Anmolpreet Singh took an absolute stunner in the Ranji Trophy game against Andhra on Saturday.

The advent of T20I has definitely taken fielding to a whole new level. With every run being of great importance, the fielders try their best to save the runs which eventually results in stunning catches and saves. The last few years have witnessed some stunning catches near the boundary.

But the latest one by Anmolpreet Singh is perhaps best of the lot. Running towards right, diving full stretch and then pulling off a breathtaking one-handed catch – the Punjab star definitely took one of the best catches seen in recent times.

The catch was so stunning that his teammate Mandeep Singh took to Twitter to post it and state that he had never seen a catch like this.

“I have never seen a catch like this! Probably the best catch ever.. simply outstanding #Anmolpreetsingh oh nhi mukabla Tera shera @anmol10439552,” Mandeep wrote on Twitter.

Coming to the game, Andhra have replied solidly to Punjab’s first innings total of 414. Despite Anmolpreet Singh’s catch reducing Andhra to 190 for 4, they reached 327 for 5 at stumps on Day 3 at the Visakhapatnam. Ricky Bhui struck his fifth First-Class century and along with half-centuries from Srikar Bharat and Bodapati Sumanth narrowed down the difference to 87.

After Andhra has lost their first three wickets for 39, Bhui and Bharat came together for a crucial 151-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Once legspinner Mayank Markande broke the stand, Bhui added 132 more with Sumanth to take Andhra beyond the 300-mark margin. Punjab, on the other hand, could manage just two wickets in the entire day. Leg-spinner Mayank Markande picked up both the wickets.
