Buoyed by the success in South Africa, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has said the team is not looking to sit on the laurels and is now eyeing success in the upcoming overseas tours.

Ever since losing the second Test, India did not look back in the rainbow nation. They won the inconsequential third Test in Johannesburg and went on to win the ODI series 5-1. The Men in Blue thoroughly dominated the 50-over format and went on to win their maiden bilateral series in South Africa.

Their domination continued in the T20Is too as they won the series 2-1. But despite winning the series, India is not looking to bask in the success and has already set its sight on the upcoming series.

Bhuvneshwar , who picked up 7 wickets in the T20 series and bagged the Man of the series award, said that the team is looking for more success in the future.

“We don’t want to be too greedy and we are happy with these two trophies. Hopefully next time we will win all the three trophies,” Bhuvneshwar said.

The pacer further said the series wins have given the team the confidence to do well in England and Australia.

“This tour has been brilliant, particularly talking about Test series. Yes we lost two matches, but they were very close. We could have also lost 3-0 or won 2-1 instead. But it gives us confidence in whatever way we have played, and we are ready to go to England and Australia, and do better there,”  he said.

Bhuvneshwar further spoke on how to get wickets in the shortest format of the game.

“T20 cricket is all about using variations and timing has to be perfect. Whatever knuckle ball I have bowled, I wanted batsmen to go after that. That way you can get wickets and that’s one of the main reasons why I have been successful in power plays,” said the bowler who is the only India to take five-wicket hauls across formats.
