India bowling star Bhuvneshwar Kumar‘s engagement earlier this month in Noida was a low-key affair with only close friends attending the ceremony but the reception is going to be a star-studded affair.

The Times of India has reported that the pacer will tie the knot with his fiancee Nupur Nagar in a private ceremony in Meerut on November 23 but it will be followed by a couple of receptions on November 26 and 30, the latter of which will be hosted in Delhi and will be attended by the Indian cricket team.

The report further claimed that the bowler’s father Kiran Pal Singh was initially looking for a 10-day window for the wedding but it is now going to b a private ceremony attended only by family and friends at a Meerut resort on November 23. The wedding ceremony will be followed by a reception on November 26 in Bulandshahr, where Bhuvneshwar’s extended family resides before the starry reception takes place 4 days later in Delhi. Apart from the players, officials from Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are also expected to attend the reception.

“The wedding will take place in Meerut and it will be attended by family and close friends. But we want Bhuvneshwar’s teammates and members from the Board to also take part in celebrations, which is why we will have a reception in Delhi for them. We are sure everybody will attend it because the entire team will be in Delhi from November 30 for the Sri Lanka series,” Kiran Pal Singh was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar Kumar looks set to miss the second Test against Sri Lanka due to his wedding. The game will start on November 24 in Nagpur, one day after the bowler’s wedding. The third Test of the series will be played in Delhi from December 2
