There is no denying of a fact that the politics ruined Windies Cricket. They have got players who can single-handedly win it for the team. But, the miscommunication and politics among the three boards led to disaster. But all-rounder Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine and Bravo brothers are likely going to make it to the Caribbean One-day International (ODI) team.

Windies, who played qualifying matches in Zimbabwe for a berth in 2019 ICC World Cup, it was quite a story in the game of cricket.

However, it seems like they are back on the track with some new implementations.

Come and play in the Super50 Cup: Windies Board

The Windies board wants all the players to participate in the imminent Super50 cup in order to be eligible for selection. The only message from the board to the players is to come and play the tourney.

The chief selector Courtney Browne wants all the players in the system for selection which not only improves the selection choices but also the fate of the Windies cricket.

“The overall message to Pollard, the Bravo brothers and Narine was ‘come and play in the Super50 Cup’ so that Courtney [Browne, chairman of selectors] and his selection panel will have all the players in system playing,” Johnny Grave, board CEO, said.

“This will not only increase the standard and hopefully give the panel a headache but will help our selectors better gauge and assess our young players if they’re scoring runs against Dwayne Bravo or Sunil in the final overs or getting Darren [Bravo] and Pollard out,” he added in a release.

Discussions with the cricketers were positive:

The talks with the cricketers on the personal front were also successful by the officials.

It is learnt from the words of Windies’ official Graves that the discussions went positive with each cricketer is looking for the future.

“Jimmy Adams [director cricket operations] and I met with Dwayne, Darren, Pollard and Narine’s agent in Trinidad. We met with them individually because they all have different circumstances. I would describe the meetings as positive, as everyone was looking to the future rather than the past,”  Grave said as per The Guardian.

However, it would be a great sign if all the four cricketers return to their national side.
