Jasprit Bumrah has spearheaded the Indian fast bowling attack to glory. His slinging bowling action is hard to be picked up and he keeps his line straight to add woes for the opposition batsmen. It is thus, that he has earned a lot of praise for his bowling from the cricket fraternity.
Bumrah, however, is working to improve his skills further. Australia pace legend Brett Lee spoke about how the Ahmedabad express has impressed him and how he can further work to improve himself to go notches up.
Brett Lee impressed with Jasprit Bumrah
Brett Lee, who spit venom with his fiery bowling during his heydays, is might impressed with Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling. He, however, thinks Bumrah can add to his pace and would be more effective if he improves his action.
It is one of the few things Lee wants Bumrah to work on apart from pulling out his arm straighter.
“The current Indian pace attack is very, very good, led by Jasprit Bumrah. He is the guy who can also increase his pace. A few little things…you know he is working on with his action, with shooing with that arm pulling down harder and pulling out straighter. He has really improved his action bit. I am really impressed with the way he bowled in the last couple of years.,” Lee said.
Jasprit Bumrah contribution for India
Bumrah’s presence makes all the difference for Team India. He makes the unit formidable and threatening for the oppositions. He has taken 68 Test wickets, 104 in ODIs and 59 in T20Is. He will be a key for India in the T20 World Cup as well.
He has maintained an economy rate of 6.66 in the shortest format and can vary his pace to keep the batsmen at the other end confused.
