Mohammed Shami was recently involved in a funny banter with former India allrounder Irfan Pathan on Twitter. Both of them are currently in the UAE for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The tournament got underway on September 19 and is scheduled to end on November 10.

The tournament is currently in its business phase with each team having played at least 9 games. Mohammed Shami is plying his trade for Kings XI Punjab and has been in stunning form so far. With 16 wickets from 10 games, he is currently the second highest wicket-taker in IPL 2020.

With KXIP’s chances of making it to the playoffs hanging by a thread, they will be hoping that Mohammed Shami keeps delivering with the ball for them. The KL Rahul-led side is currently at the sixth spot with 4 wins from ten games. They are on a roll at the moment after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in their last three games.

Irfan Pathan pulls Mohammed Shami’s legs:

It all began when Mohammed Shami took to Twitter to post a picture of himself from the gym. In the photo, the fast-bowler was seen posing as he wrote: “Getting fit is all about mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”

This is when Irfan Pathan decided to pull the KXIP star’s legs. The former cricketer-turned-commentator hilariously wrote: “karogee kuchhhhh? (which roughly translates to: Will you do something?)”

Mohammed Shami was quick to reply to Irfan’s query as he asked him: “bolo.”. In reply, Irfan Pathan hilariously wrote: “Bhai mere Shami ke hath mein ball ho to chup rehna behtar hai (roughly translates to: It’s better to stay silent if Shami has the ball)

The right-arm pacer was amused by Pathan’s reply and laughed off the compliment. Pathan, however, was not done yet as he pulled Shami’s legs again by writing: “Mehnat ke sath sath farm house hona chahiye (Along with hard work, one needs a farm house too).” Pathan was probably referring to several videos of training Shami had posted on social media during the lockdown.

Shami ended the exchange by jokingly asking the former India international to stop and not make fun of him anymore, writing: “karam hai upar wale ka ki usne farmhouse banane layak banaya or farmhouse rang laya. bus kar or kitna mazak banaoge bhai (roughly translates to: I am thankful to the almighty he has made me capable of building a farm house and the farm house has paid off. Stop it brother, don’t make fun of me anymore).
