During the T20I series between India and New Zealand, the skipper of the Indian National Cricket Team and New Zealand were seen spending time at the boundary ropes during the progress of the game. The fans of Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson cherished the moment, as they have seen something, which isn’t an often sight in any kind of sport.

The aggressive Kohli, who often expresses himself with an attacking attitude on the field was seen having a fun time with calm and composed Williamson during the fifth T20I game at Bay Oval.

Now, the duo revealed what exactly was the conversation about on that day.

There won’t be any spite in it: Virat Kohli

During India’s visit to the Indian High Commission in Wellington, Kohli stated that the Indian team has developed as the strongest team in the world cricket alongside New Zealand, who can scare any kind of opposition.

Further, Kohli revealed that he was having a conversation about life and other matters but not about cricket.

“Something that we have embraced as a team over the last three-four years and we have reached a stage where every team wants to beat us. New Zealand won’t be any different but the difference is that there won’t be any spite in it and that’s one reason why I can sit with Kane on the boundary line and have a conversation midgame about life and not cricket,” Kohli said.

On the other hand, Williamson added that they both get along really well since the U19 World Cup, in which, they both played.

Kane explained the similar views on the game and the different approach to other things in life. He added that the conversation with Kohli was refreshing for him.

“It was really interesting the other day to sit down and have a quiet chat on the outfield and share a lot of thoughts that we had and a lot of similar views on the game and slightly different approaches which were really refreshing and quite inspiring as well from a guy who’s leading the way with his tenacious and competitive attitude,” he said.

Well, this isn’t the first time that both were seen spending quality time. They have always been nice to each other with mutual respect on and off the field.

They will next be in the action when both teams lock horns in the first Test at Wellington, starting on Friday (February 21).
