If England legend Kevin Pietersen has amazed you with his batting, then be ready to be even more amazed by his stunning South African safari lodge. The South Africa-born cricketer decided to play international cricket for England and enjoyed a glorious career.
The former England batsman played 104 Tests before being dropped from the team after a disastrous 5-0 Ashes series defeat to Australia Down Under in 2013/14. Kevin Pietersen was his team’s leading run-scorer on that tour but was surprisingly dropped. He did not earn another recall from England and eventually retired from all forms of the game in 2018.

He helped England win the famous Ashes series in 2005 as well as in 2009 and 2010. The legendary batsman also helped England win the Test series in India in 2012 as well as the T20 World Cup in 2010. Following his retirement, he decided to build a lodge at his native South Africa and one can say that he has done a stunning job.
Kevin Pietersen’s stunning lodge:
The former England international, who has been very vocal over the conservation of rhinos, has build his lodge on the banks of the Sabie River called the Umganu Lodge. A person needs to spend £915-per-night (around INR 85,000) to stay and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the lodge.

Only 12 guests can stay at one time in the lodge. Every room comes with a panoramic viewing deck, which means you won’t miss any of the wildlife around you. The rooms are decorated with different themes, including elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, and buffalo and the floors are polished cement.
As far as services are concerned, the rooms come with all the usual mod-cons, air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi. Private bathrooms feature a tub that also allows views of passing animals.
