Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered one of their worst-ever defeats in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they lost to Mumbai Indians (MI) by 10 wickets in match 41 of IPL 2020. This was the first time that Chennai Super Kings lost a game by a margin of 10 wickets in the history of their IPL onslaught as things just seem to go from bad to worse for the Chennai-based franchise.

However, even in such dark times, CSK fans and the management got a funny moment as the CSK Twitter handle came up with a hilarious jibe at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) during the CSK vs MI game. It is interesting to note that RCB registered the lowest-ever total in IPL history when they managed to score only 49 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2018.

Chennai Super Kings were in a similar position on Friday as the MI bowlers had wreaked havoc on the pitch as they had cleaned up seven wickets when CSK were batting in the first innings on the score of 43 runs. It seemed as if CSK might just go on to break RCB’s shameful record but the former avoided it and as soon as CSK crossed the 49-run mark, CSK’s Twitter handle came up with a hilarious jibe.

CSK took to Twitter and wrote, “At least, the 49 fiasco was averted.

Mumbai Indians Go On Top Of The Points Table

As for Chennai Super Kings, they have had one of the worst seasons so far in their history of the Indian Premier League. This was CSK’s 8th loss in the 11 games that they have played so far and it won’t be wrong to say that CSK are almost eliminated from the tournament now.
