Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravichandran Ashwin are currently in Australia preparing for the upcoming four-match Test series. The duo reached the Australian shores with the rest of the Indian team and are sweating it out ahead of what would be a hard-fought rubber. However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Cheteshwar Pujara are also having fun and it was visible when the off-spinner mimicked the Saurashtra batsman as the latter was working out.

Cheteshwar Pujara, who will have a vital role to play in the upcoming Test series, was working out using some heavy dumbles. As he was performing the exercise, Ravichandran Ashwin, who stood behind him, began mimicking as it went on. Pujara shared the video on his official Instagram handle and put a caption as “The Apprentice following the master”. The Saurashtra batsman is one of the best in Tests as of today.

Below is the video shared by Cheteshwar Pujara and in turn by a Twitter user:

Cheteshwar Pujara was the highest run-getter the last time India won the Test series in Australia. He clattered 521 runs in four Tests at an average of more than 70, tiring out the home side’s fast bowlers consistently. With Virat Kohli set to skip three out of four Tests in the upcoming leg, the right-handed batsman will have to carry out the bulk of the scoring. So far, the 32-year old has 5840 runs in 77 Tests at 48.67.

On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the best off-spinners in red-ball cricket currently. While Ashwin played only one Test in Australia in the 2018-19 series, the 34-year old contributed heavily towards India’s victory, enabling them to take an early series lead. He will have his task cut out against a full-strength Australian batting line-up unlike on the previous occasion; however, Ashwin has been in fine form in IPL. The first Test begins on the 17th of December in Adelaide.
