The South African all-rounder has opened up on the experience of playing under Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore seem to be heading towards their inaugural IPL title in 12 years. With 14 points from ten games, the Royal Challengers Bangalore are second in the IPL 2020 points table. In their latest encounter, the three-time finalists dismantled Kolkata Knight Riders by restricting them to 84 in 20 overs and chasing that down with eight wickets to spare.

Chris Morris hailed Virat Kohli, management, analysts, and coaches for doing all the hard work behind the scenes before every game. Morris conceded that all the members in their setup are quite clear with their plans and the same only helps the captain during the match.

Virat has been very good. A lot of people don’t see is that there’s a lot of work that gets done behind the scene. We have got an analyst and he does a lot of job and the bowling coach analyses the stuff, our batting coach analyses as well. A lot of stuff happens just for the game. All of them together, Virat and the senior cricketers together, we are quite clear with our plans. Once you are clear with all your plans, it’s easier for Virat to captain,” Morris said as quoted by India Today.

The 32-year old further said that the only thing Virat Kohli is excellence and learnt to give everything and the captain himself puts all the work. Morris underlined that the Indian skipper wants only to win and energises the rest of the members to do so. The attitude makes plenty of difference to the team along with his performances.

To play under Virat has been really good. The biggest learning for me, playing under him is he expects excellence, he expects to work hard because he puts the work in. He exudes the energy, he just wants to win all the time. He wants to get into the game, that’s infectious. That’s what his attitude to the team apart from his performances,” he added.
