Of late, the cricketing world has been struck with few inappropriate statements by the key personalities in the Indian cricket. One of them has been Ravi Shastri’s, who termed the current Indian team as the best traveling team compared to the last 15 years. Speaking of the same, CoA responded to Shastri in a hilarious way.

Certainly, the statement didn’t go well with the former cricketers of India and also the fans, who backlashed at the head coach. Ravi Shastri received a lot of flak for the controversial statement and failed to back it up as well.

In a meeting which was held with the Committee of Administrators, the head coach, skipper and few officials were present to speak on the upcoming Australian tour. They also spoke on the Test losses in England and South Africa.

“Ravi initially started off by saying that the Indian media always criticise its own players and how this is one of the best ever teams in the last 15 years,” an official present in the meeting told PTI.

When Virat Kohli was asked the same by a journalist, who quoted he doesn’t think the current team is the better than the former teams, the Indian skipper replied saying “That’s your opinion, thank you.”

”When Ravi went on about how great this current team is, one of the CoA members just cut him short,” the official recollected. The CoA member told him, ‘Let’s stick to the agenda of the meeting and discuss Australia tour policies. You don’t decide if the team is the best travelling side in the world. Let people be the judge’,” the official said.

However, it seems like Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri are receiving the heat from the respective board members. Meanwhile, few officials present in the meeting feels these kinds of statements will bring a negative response from the Indian fans.
